Process & Supply Chain Efficiency

Process and Supply Chain efficiency is constantly variable depending on customer demands, so a culture of continuous improvement is important to optimise the best use of organisational resources.

Using my many years of experience and analytical skills, I can help achieve significant improvements in efficiency through observation of the process, identifying waste streams and trialling recommended solutions.

Procurement Strategy

I can conduct a review of the organisational Procurement Strategy using my lengthy and wide experience with the client to determine if it is optimised for factors such as cost, quality, technical standards, continuity of supply, and ESG goals.

Carbon Footprint Measurement and Management

I have a BASIS qualification in Greenhouse Gases, Carbon and Climate Change Mitigation (Mar 2025) with training from ADAS Consultancy.

There may be investments required to help reduce your Carbon Footprint/ Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, but significant reductions can be achieved through reducing waste and improving process and supply chain efficiency. These should save money to help with any investments further down the line.

There are no guarantees anybody can provide in this as we are all on an uncharted journey to reduce our carbon footprints.

I will do everything in my power to ensure that clients achieve savings in their operations to help defray any other costs of reducing their GHG emissions.

My approach is to work collaboratively with each client to identify waste and inefficiency using organisational data, build a Carbon Footprint for a product or whole organisation to identify “Hot Spots”.

I will then propose solutions working with the client to trial where necessary and implement.

What I charge will depend on a few factors such as the complexity of the project and its length.

Like many areas of business, there will be some simple and quick wins to reduce GHG emissions and then becoming progressively more challenging.  Any potential solutions can be prioritised by the ease/ cost of implementation and the likely benefits.

My background is in agriculture from a small family farm in South Devon (which I still own with my sister), I have a BSc in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Nottingham and I have over 25 years experience in the Agri-Food sector.

I have worked in retail for Tesco and M&S in Meat, Poultry and Produce as an Agriculture Manager and Buyer.  I was a Buyer for Compass Group for Meat and Poultry for a couple of years.  My most recent full-time role was as as Agricultural Buying Manager at Wealmoor Ltd which encompassed procurement from growers, crop planning and management with growers and customers for growers in the UK and overseas.

Most recently I have passed the BASIS exam for Greenhouse Gases, Carbon and Climate Change Mitigation (Mar 2025) after attending an ADAS course.
